While EU members don’t pay tariffs on goods they trade amongst themselves, tariffs are imposed on goods that come in from the outside. Once Britain leaves the EU, the EU will almost definitely impose tariffs on British goods.
So what does that mean for beer in Kavos ? well the good news is that as far as British beer goes, its export price wont be affected immediately after the exit negotiations as most trade deals will take way over 2 years before they are put into effect, given the lastest drop in the sterlings value, the export price for British beer is looking very good.
The resort imports beers from around the world and quality alternatives can be found at competitive prices, for us though there is nothing like an ice cold British beer by the pool in mid July. Further reports show an increase of 21% for British beer imports at Kavos this spring which shows they are stocking up for us more than last season so cheer-up everybody, there is going to be enough British beer for everyone this season, Keep Calm, you are going to Kavos.
