The most desired vehicles during the summer holidays, Quad bikes and ATVs have been ruled illegal by the government during these last few weeks ! Who would have thought that our beloved method of transportation is not allowed to be driven on the streets no more !
Passione Rossa Club | Corfu Tour 2018
WHY DID THIS HAPPEN ?
The argument about the safety of Quads And ATVs on streets has been going on for some time now, it was not a complete shocker but the decision was made over night with literally no adjustment period for the 10.000 shops that rent these vehicles during the summer.
The 10.000 families that run these shops have been literally crushed by the swift decision, they were not given any warnings or help on what to do with all the quads that they have in their fleets ! Protests have been taking place with the shop owners forming a union in order to push the government to roll back its decision !
WHAT HAPPENS NOW ?
The unions are hoping to reverse the decision before the summer season, in fact they have build a case with facts and statistics that prove Quads and ATVs are safe if not safer than regular 2 wheel bikes but there is a long fight ahead of them. For those of you that are still looking for the experience of driving a Quad whilst on holiday, do not worry, there are other ways !
